The typical drowned vocal production within the shoegaze genre was heavily employed on this track to assist the word painting in the tracks lyrics that portray the difficulty of trying to communicate with someone you love.

This was my first time mixing a track of this subgenre so using mixing references such as My Bloody Valentine and Just Mustard aided me in achieving the reverbed kit that retained all of its dynamic punch whilst leaving room in the forefront for the lead guitar.
